Nike went low and light with the Kobe 8, introducing engineered mesh for the first time, which allowed the shoe to weigh in at an airy 9.6 ounces. Not the best but pretty damn good! How much do Kobe 8 weigh? Soft rubber offers good traction even on dusty courts. Some wiping may be needed on dustier courts, but is still really solid. The traction of the Kobe AD is really, really good, especially on clean courts. Makes sense since AD started after Christ’s death and this is the 1st Kobe shoe post retirement. Ball was spotted wearing the Puma MB1 for the first time yesterday while sitting courtside to watch his Charlotte Hornets squad take on the Portland Trailblazers. LaMelo Ball just used his appearance at the 2021 NBA Summer League to debut his first signature shoe with Puma. If you like a super snug fit you can go true to size but the safe play is half a size up. These run smaller than the OG by about half a size. The engineered mesh keeps the foot comfortable and ventilated.

The fuse keeps the shoe durable even with toe drags and prolonged use. The upper of the Nike Kobe 9 Low is made of thick engineered mesh with fuse overlays on the forefoot. The padding of the tongue also provides a very snug and comfortable fit when laced in tightly. There is no Fuse underlay (or at least I couldn’t feel it at all if there is) in the setup so the shoe doesn’t require much break in time at all. The fit on the Nike Kobe 11 is pretty much true to size. If you are looking to purchase the Kobe 9 and have no way of trying it on, I would order your true size. Do remember that your foot will swell up during play so you want to have at least half a thumb of room in the toe box. I recommend going true to size although some may go a half size down.

Wide footers should try them on before purchasing but if you aren’t a wide footer then grab your regular size as the fit will continuously adapt to your foot shape as the Lunarlon midsole breaks down with each game. They’re a bit snug but that is the way a performance shoe is supposed to fit… like a glove. Wide footers may want to go up half a size to have the perfect fit. That stop-jumper is deadly with guys like LeBron and Kobe (who seems to have signature step-throughs), but also CP3 and some of the faster guards who sometimes have trouble getting jumpers off inside - it'll fake the defense out of their shoes because you normally can't stop and shoot that quickly. The Nike Kobe 10 fits true to size throughout the shoe but it is a little on the slim side. There is a triple-fake up and under (seems like holding the RS in a direction causes this msot often), a double-fake kind of floater/one-hand jumper thing, a fake then jumper (you can fade away on this one as well), or you can cut it short and basically use the LT + X fake as a quick stop to get a jumper in the mid-post area. There are 3 or 4 different moves that will happen, and it seems like moving the LS after that X fake determines which move you do. So tap LT while on the move, then quickly tap X, and then quickly move the shot stick in any direction. gif that Momentous made? That setup leads into those moves.

You can do this setup with the shot stick also, but it's very unreliable whereas the X button does it basically every time. Running towards the key, tapping LT quickly before pumpfaking with X.
